I am trying to set up a map base on sale per region:
North East (ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI)
Mid Atlantic (NY, NJ, DW, VA)
North West (WA, OR, ID, MT, WY)
You get the idea. How do I set can I group the states for these regions to show up on the Shapes Map?
Thanks!
Hi @lawlortim,
Based on my test, we can take the following steps to meet your requirement.
1. Enter the data and create a new column to set up groups by city.
Column 3 = IF(Table2[states]="NH"|| Table2[states]="ME" || Table2[states]= "VT" || Table2[states] = "MA" || Table2[states] = "CT" || Table2[states]= "RI", "North East", IF(Table2[states] = "NY" || Table2[states]="NJ" || Table2[states]= "DW"|| Table2[states] = "VA", "Mid Atlantic","North West"))
2. Create the visuals as below.
