At the moment I have this kind of basic date slicer
I'd like it to be set by default to the current trimester(current quarter of the year)
If the current date is 19/10/2021 then the current quarter of the year is the 4th, so the date would go between
the 01/10/2021 and the 30/12/2021, like this :
My way to do it would be to get the current date, looking for which quarter of the year it belongs to, then pre-setting it to this slicer, when people get on this report, the date range would be like on the screenshot by default.
I'm thinking of using a measure, but I really don't get how to implement this,

You can change your slicer format to "Relative" (click on the dropdown arrow on the right upper corner of the visual) and set it to show last year, month, etc.
