I have noticed that all the dates in my Power BI reports are displaying in the MM/DD/YYYY format. I would like them to appear as DD/MM/YYYY by default.
While I am aware that I could go through each date column and reformat these individually, I was hoping to find where the date setting was that controls Power BI can be found and set.
I have changed the region settings in Power BI's Options screen, and changed the region/locale in the Windows settings in all the cases I can see in the control panel however they still appear as MM/DD/YYYY. Does anyone know where I can adjust the default format for all dates?

@Greg_Deckler interestingly just updated Power BI from the September to October version and is now formatting the dates correctly for me in DD/MM/YYYY. Looks like something wasn't working correctly in the old version. Thanks for helping to look at this.

Hi @Greg_Deckler ,
I have the 'Application language' Region Settings set to 'Use Windows default Display Language' (there is no English - UK option for me to choose from in the dropdown.
In Windows Settings, the windows display language is set to English (United Kingdom) so it should be picking up the settings from there.
The dates appear in the correct format in Power Query, however when I add them to a visual they are in MM/DD/YYYY.
Is there anywhere else this could be set?
Thanks
@Anonymous Hmm, You should have Regional Settings under GLOBAL and CURRENT FILE and you should have options. But I believe the English UK option is under CURRENT FILE Regional Settings.
@Greg_Deckler , I already have the Current File > Regional Settings (Locale for import) set to English (United Kingdom)
However the dates are still in MM/DD/YYYY?
@Anonymous You need to change your regional settings under File | Options and settings | Options.
