Selection from Slicer

Hi,

 

  1. I have a Slicer in the report. Assign the Date as Field to this. Choose “Between” as type of this Slicer, so I have “From – To” display for the date selection.
  2. I want to create a measure to read the “From – To” from this Slicer, so that I can use this as “filtering” in my other visual (Cluster Column Chart). Is this possible?
  3. And I want to create the other measure also read the “From – To” from this Slicer but – 1 (previous year), and use it as “filtering” in this visual (Cluster Column Chart) too. Is this possible?
  4. So in my Cluster Column Chart, I have current selection and current selection -1 (previous year) display. Both selections is read from the Date Slicer above. Is this possible?

  VAR __Max = MAX('SlicerTable'[Date])
  VAR __Min1YearAgo = DATE(YEAR(EOMONTH(__Min,-12)),MONTH(__Min),DAY(__Min))
  VAR __Max1YearAgo = DATE(YEAR(EOMONTH(__Max,-12)),MONTH(__Max),DAY(__Max))
  VAR __Result = SUMX(FILTER(ALL('Table'),[Date] >= __Min1YearAgo && [Date] <= __Max1YearAgo),[Column])
RETURN
  __Result

      can you tell me what is that [Column] means in the following?

       

        VAR __Result = SUMX(FILTER(ALL('Table'),[Date] >= __Min1YearAgo && [Date] <= __Max1YearAgo),[Column])

        Hi,

        I can't get it work. I dont know what is the [Column] represent? I have error message if I enter [Column]. Pleaes help. Thanks.
