Segmenting customers by count of visits

Dear all,

Iam new to DAX and i request help of the community in creating a measure.

Facts:

I have a sales table with transaction number, date, product key (item code) & customer ID. This table is related to date table, customer master & product master (one to many).

Objective:

Segment customers by count of visits (dynamic segmentation - should be filted by time, geography & product). Segment table is provided below (Cust-Date Key column in the above sales table is the reference to calculate the count of visits).

Thanks in advance!

Hey @Krishnatejap ,

I recommend reading these two articles

Hopefully, this gets you started. If you need more help create a pbix file that contains sample data, but still reflects your data model (tables, relationships, calculated columns, and measures). Upload the file to onedrive, google drive, or dropbox and share the link. If you are using Excel to create the sample data, share the Excel file as well.

Regards,

Tom

Hi Tom,

Thank you for the quick reply.

I did read the articles you mentioned few days back and applied the DAX for dyanamically segmenting the sales value (based on slabs). However, iam unable to modify/create DAX for computing the visits of customers.

I have uploaded sample file in google drive with below link:
