Scrolling TextVisual add-in
I am trying to use the add-in Scrolling TextVisual.
I can create a table in (almost) any way I want starting from a raw dDB with:
- Type
- Date (M and Y)
I'd like to have in the scrolling visualization the current number (sum of type occurrency this month) by type and as Deviation the previous month sum, still by Type.
I cannot really make it... tried several approach, grouping ,adding columns or measures...
Anyone can help?
thanks,
M

Hi mizio66,
Based on your description, I make a test using the following sample data.
Firstly, create two columns in the table.
Year = YEAR(Table1[Date])
Month = MONTH(Table1[Date])Secondly, create a new table using the following DAX.
Table = SUMMARIZE(Table1,Table1[Type],Table1[Year],Table1[Month],"Number",COUNT(Table1[Type]))
Thirdly, create the following measures in the new table.
CurrentMonth = CALCULATE(SUM('Table'[Number]),'Table'[Month]=MONTH(TODAY()))
PreviousMonth = CALCULATE(SUM('Table'[Number]),'Table'[Month]=MONTH(TODAY())-1)
%Change = ([CurrentMonth]-[PreviousMonth])/[PreviousMonth]At last, create a Scrolling TextVisual.
If above steps don't help, please share sample data of your table and post expected result.Regards,
Lydia Zhang

Thanks Lydia, works perfectly.
I just had to add the year as a filter (seems like I cannot AND month and year in the measure).
kudos!
