Hi Everyone,
I am new to Power BI and this community. I want to use the schema view and the diagram view in Power Query Editor, but the view menu does not have them in the layout and preview sections as can be seen in this snapshot.
The only solution or explanation I have been able to find is that the schema and diagram views (see the following figure) are only available for Power Query Online. However, this is confusing because Power BI Service does'nt have Query Editor.
My question is, how can one get Power Query Online? Is it different from Power BI Desktop? I want to be able to use the schema and diagram views for my data modeling. Kindly help.

The Power Query editor shown on line is for creating a Dataflow (which is a query in the cloud). If you go to one of your Workspaces and create a new Dataflow, you will see that ribbon.

Hi, does the schema and diagram views of the Query Editor available at the Power BI Desktop/Query Editor now (2023)? Thank you for your help!

Hi Pat,
Thanks for your help. I am now able to access both the schema and diagram views of the queries I added to the dataflow from the online query editor.
