Hello, I just tried connecting to a MySQL database and importing tables, as well as making queries to extract specific information and create a report in Power BI, however, I see disabled the scheduled update option, as well as the option to edit the data source credentials. They ask me to update the information with the database every so often in the day, they told me you can make 8 updates a day every certain hour, but I have that detail that the option is not enabled. The license I was given is PRO. What could I verify apart from what I have said? Or is it not possible for import to carry out scheduled updates? Will it have to do with what is a MySQL database?, thanks in advance.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I fixed that the scheduled update is enabled by creating a local gateway, however, the next step is that it is not necessary to have the gateway on a computer on all the time for the data to be updated. But while I take this for granted.
@Syndicate_Admin , I am assuming you are talking about power bi service, datasource setting.
For that first open gateway and check is asking for an on-premise gateway. if yes, provide that information first
Hello, thanks for answering, is it forced to handle the import option with local gateways?, because the idea is that the report is updated in PowerBI online without there being a local computer turned on, but rather that I am only querying the MySQL database through the scheduled update, maybe that is where my error is.
