I'm having trouble with the scatter chart. I need to generate a scatter chart with a continuous axis, the problem is with the x-axis since I need the date to be shown and being continuous it shows me error.

You won’t be able to build this chart using a Scatter visual, because the Scatter chart requires a numeric X-axis and doesn’t support a continuous Date axis.

To reproduce the chart you shared (dots over time with a horizontal threshold line), the recommended approach is to use a Line chart with markers enabled and the line hidden. This keeps the Date axis continuous and gives the same visual effect as a scatter plot.

So the Scatter visual isn’t required the Line chart with markers is the supported way to achieve this in Power BI.

In Power BI, a scatter chart requires a numeric X-axis.
Date/DateTime fields are not supported as a continuous X-axis in a scatter visual.

If your goal is to show points over time with cpntinous axis, the recommended alternative is to use a Line chart with the line disabled  and markers enabled.
This keeps the date axis continuous and avoids workarounds like converting dates to numbers.

@Syndicate_Admin Could you share the screen shot of the error? And it would be great to explain with sample example data (avoid sharing real and sensitive data) to better understand the issues.
