Scatter chart with Dynamic, Conditional, Advanced Formatting, Colour Change

I have a scatter chart with thousands of dots. I would love it if when i chose a company (from a company drop-down slicer box on the page), that the company selected dot highlights in a different colour. Is that possible? if so how do i do this?

Even better, is it possible if the dot highlights in a bold colour and the other dots fade, or change colour to like a grey..... in an ideal world I would still like to use the hover-over tooltip functionality on all dots so that I can see the companies surrounding the company I have selected.

all dots are teal, until organisation is selected then that one is highlighted dark blueall dots are teal, until organisation is selected then that one is highlighted dark blue

Thanks for the help!!

Hi @Anonymous ,

Try this:

1. Create a Slicer Table, which is independet of the other table.

Slicer Table = VALUES('Table'[Company])

2. Create a measure.

Condition = IF(SELECTEDVALUE(Slicer Table[Company])=MAX('Table'[Company]),"#4260f5","#42f5e6")

You can get the color code here

3. Set Conditional formating of Data colors in Scatter chart.

condition for2.jpg

Then, you can get this:

condition for.PNG

Hi,

I am trying to implement the same, but it always applies the same color to all data points, can you provide details or sample workbook to show the solution? it will be really helpful.

Thank you!
