Salesforce Field not displaying in Power BI Desktop

Hello,

I connected power BI with my salesforce org and for whatever reason a cpouple fields aren't dispalying anywhere for me to select them. I dont think I'm up against any field limitations as I can continue to add additional objects into my data set. So why can't I see certain fields in Power Bi?

Thanks!

Hi @mikep7521 were you able to find a solution? As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party connector, which pulls the data directly from SF objects API. I've tried windsor.ai, supermetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Salesforce connector in the data sources list:

After that, just grant access to your Salesforce account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your Salesforce fields:

There just select the fields you need. It is also compatible with custom fields and custom objects, so you'll be able to export them through windsor.  Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.

I faced a similar issue, it appears oath may be causing the problem, i resolved this by revoking Power BI access from within Salesforce itself, and re-authenticating it through oauth.

The fields that were not pulling through were new fields which i deployed, they appeared after doing the above though. Wierd issue!

@mikep7521,

What is the type of these fields in Salesforce? I found a similar thread describing this issue, please check if it helps in your scenario.
