Sales date gap
I’m developing a sales report in Power BI and have some items that were not in the data for a 4 week period. Once the items began showing in the data again, the DAX formulas I’m using began giving me the “contiguous date error”. I’ve tried using the DAX for Dateadd or SamePeriodLastyear. Is there a way to have that gap of time ignored for just those particular items?
This is screenshot of the gap:
Since I can't seem to get the link to work, my team determined a work around for this. We changed from using the imported query to using the SSAS tabular model we had been developing. We're going to continue to try to figure out how to get the imported version to work, but we needed to get this live for a client.

Can you share where you are getting this error?

The gap range is 10/20 - 11/10. I started receiving the data again on 11/17. When I filter to only see through 11/10, I have no issues. As soon as I add in the week of 11/17, the error happens.
I receive weekly data, always with a Friday date.
(Not sure I can share the actual pbix file due to confidentiality restrictions within my company.)
