SSL Certificate error online

Hello People,

I'm not sure what location I should put this, so i'm just gonna do this here.

We want to use PowerBI on a webpage with a SSL Certificate, we have installed

the certificate on the PC and it works when using PowerBI Desktop. However

when we publish the project and try to Schedule Refresh it gives us the error:

The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship

for the SSL/TLS secure channel.

Is it possible to upload certificates into PowerBI?

Hi @Rvdvelde,

In your scenario, which data source are you connecting to? To enable the dataset can be refreshed in Power BI Service, have you configured the data gateway to enable refresh? Please use Fiddler to trace back and forth with the Power BI service from the client machine. Also please take a look at links below to check if it's helpful in your scenario:

If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

Hi Qiuyun_Yu,

The data source (database) itself is out of reach for me,

i've got to get the data via a Web source, its a online source.

I've tried creating a gateway with the web data source hoever i get

the following error: DW_GWPipeline_UnknownError.

The fix for opening it in PowerBI Desktop was to upload the SSL

certificate on the machine, this doesn't work online..

Is there any way to upload the certificate online? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Rvdvelde
