Certificate chain refresh error
Hi,
I'm getting an error "The Certificate Chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted" when i try to refresh a report in desktop. It is refreshing without error in the Service though.
Can you please advise what the issue may be ?

Where is the report loading data from? Whatever that source, your local machine does not trust the SSL certificate used by the data source, but Power BI Service does.
You'll likely need to install the certificate chain (.cer or .crt) into the Trusted Root Certificate Authority on your PC using Microsoft Management Console.

Could be because the SQL Server is using encryption but your PC doesn't trust the cert from the SQL server.
In PQ you can check the Data Source Settings -> Select the SQL Server -> Edit Permissions -> Edit -> Advanced
If Encrypt Connection is ON and Trust server cert is OFF you can turn on Trust server cert but that is only if this is an internal server and you trust the box.
The 'proper' solution would be to export the certificate (and root/intermeditae certs) from the SQL server then import them to your PC.
