Dear Community,
We are running SQL Server 2016 with SSAS MD. While connected to the VPN of the organization, Excel first gives 'an error was encountered in the transport layer' but it then automatically opens the Analysis Services Connection Wizard where I can enter the domains' account name, rather than an email account that I am logged in with in Excel. Then the connection is succesful.
When in Power BI, I use the domains email adress to login, but then receive the error "We could not connect tot AS server because the connection timed out or the server name is incorrect". What is the difference between Excel and Power BI here? Trying to avoid editing the report files on the server even though the connection works fine.
Have tried a wired connection within the domain as well without success.
Thanks!
