Hello everybody, I would like to know what are the advantages and disadvantages of using an SQL Query query instead of the table selection option to link them together .
I believe the SQL Query option limits us a lot, right? "Select * FROM"
SQL Query is often used by you guys???
in using ODBC driver for Firebird 2.5.
@brunozanoelo Since you're connecting to firebird I would suggest you do table selection instead SQL query as I've used odbc for firebird in the past and had many issues in the past executing sql queries via firebird odbc.
@ankitpatira, i have some Stored Procedures with return, in some cases i need to use stored procedures because the complexibility of the data.. calculations and a lot of things. Power BI can have problems with that?
In using SQL query and didn't see any problem YET. haha!
Thanks for the reply!
@brunozanoelo Another avenue would be to transform the Stored Procedures into Views, and just select the view from Power BI.
