SQL Invoke Function Azure Databricks

Hi All,

I remember there is a way to create a SQL invoke function from an Azure Databricks Import connection. I can't remember how to do it or what video I watched on it. I saw that you can connect to the Azure Databricks catalogs, but then you can create a SQL invoke function and just enter your sql into that in the Query Editor to create queries and tables with ease without having to make a new connection for each query and table I need in Azure Databricks connector. Happy to explain further if needed.

Thanks!

Hi @vanessafvg,

I figured it out. I'm posting it here so others can use if they have a databricks connection type. All I had to do was replace ="Databricks.Catalog" with = "Databricks.Query" and this allows an invoke function to type sql in the next function

if you just select databricks as the connection then open up the advanced settings and you can type you query in there

maybe i am not understanding?  are you wanting to parameterize the connection? so you can just refer to the parameter?

If I took the time to answer your question and I came up with a solution, please mark my post as a solution and /or give kudos freely for the effort 🙂 Thank you!
