Hi im new to power BI, and i was wondering if i am able to use the SELECTEDVALUE value to call out the column of the table with the same name as the value given? In a way, performing this action :

do you mean you want to use [User Chosen] as selected column name? if yes, actually Graph[User Chosen] this is not supported in desktop.
you can take a workaround to solve the question. you can try IF() or Switch() like bellow.
Measure =
var _a= SELECTEDVALUE('filter'[filter])
return IF(_a="Column1", SUM('Table'[Column1]),IF(_a="Column2",SUM('Table'[Column2])))

yes, that's really impossible. in Dax expression, the format is fixed, 'Table'[Column]. it can not be dynamic.

CALCULATE(SUMX(Graph,[User Chosen]), Graph[SnapMonth] = [User Selection])
or
CALCULATE(Countx(Graph,[User Chosen]), Graph[SnapMonth] = [User Selection])
