SAP BW Connector

Hi Everyone,

I would like to test the SAP BW connector to Power BI.

Use the SAP Business Warehouse (BW) Connector in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

A prerequisite is the installation of the SAP .NET 3.0.

Do you know if this installation should always happen on the client machine, or is it also possible that this can be installed on the SAP BW Server?

Installing it on every client laptop seems like a lot of effort, so would be happy to hear of other experiences.

Hi @preetish_rao ,

This is because the connector facilitates communication between Power BI Desktop and the SAP BW system by using the SAP .NET Connector library installed on the client computers. Therefore, it is necessary to install SAP .NET Connector 3.0 on each client computer that will use SAP BW Connector in Power BI Desktop.

Preferably on each client computer, not recommended for SAP BW.
