I am attempting to create a histogram via a Stacked Column Chart where I will be able to filter the top N % of values.
So far I have been able to create a table that looks like the following.
This is exactly what I need, with the exception that I need to have the running total order based on the descending count of the [Range] column (the second column shown in the image. Is there an easy way to change the order of the running total column?
Thank you for any help that anyone can provide. I am at a loss of where to proceed from here.
To aid in understanding my goal, it is to filter out the top n% based on the count, starting with the Mode of the histogram. So instead of this:
It would look like this:
bump ... any experts that could point me in the right direction I can come up with something in Tableau using their color system that is useful but am hoping to use PowerBi for this ...
Hi Simon,
Not really what I am looking for - I have a workaround with the color - it is more the capability to sort a binned table based on the count - rather than the bin so I can have a running total based on it. So for example currently the data looks like:
[Bin] [Number in Each Bin] [Running Total]
1.00 3 3
2.00 17 20
3.00 5 25
4.00 21 46
5.00 18 74
What I would like instead is to have the running total quick measure be based off of the "[Number in Each Bin]" instead of the "[Bin]" starting in a decending order
[Bin] [Number in Each Bin] [Running Total]
4.00 21 21
5.00 18 39
2.00 17 58
3.00 5 63
1.00 3 66
If I could do that, I would be able to get the result that I need,
bump?
