Running Total - Cumulative

Hi.

I am trying to build a running total on my query, but on the Advanced Query Editing rather than on DAX, given the type of data. The data is fragmented and I'd rather do it using Query.

Does anyone know a way to do this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Since we don’t know the structure of your data table, I’ll give you a reference. Please refer to this link, there is a working solution which can be downloaded. Hope it helps.

Best Regards,

I grouped the data by attribute and I could solve the problem!

Thanks! Smiley Very Happy

Thanks for your replies. Let me explain. The data preview is below.

So my goal is to have per day and per atribute (F1 or F2) the running total. I said that the data is fragmented because it comes from 3 different sources. Because of this constraint, this running total starts at 129960.89 for F1 and 24638.63 for F2. Also, for F1 at 18/10/2016 the total should restart.

I tried the model you sent but I couldn't figure out how to apply it to my case.

Could you help with this info?

Probably I am a bit lost so sorry for that.

Thanks in advance for your help.

That's a very vague description. What do you mean fragmented? How is the data stored and structured, what is the data type and why do you think it necessitates a running total in the query rather than DAX, and what kind of total are you talking about?
