Running Month formatting

Hi, I have this graph that is dictated by a date slicer. How do I get the next month after March 24 to be April 25 instead of reverting back to the beginning of the graph?

The problem is that your month column doesn't include any year information. Create a new column of type date, set to the start of the month, e.g.

Year Month = EOMONTH( 'Date'[Date], -1 ) + 1

Set the format to be just the month name and then use that column in the axis for the chart.

Hi @KonradZawel, sorry, what I mean is, I want the months to show consecutively when it changes from 2024 to 2025. I need the orange bar on the right for April instead of April 2025 going back to the left of the graph where the X is. Thanks

To show just the month from your date in Power BI, create a new column using the FORMAT function like this: FORMAT(YourDateColumn, "MMMM") — it will give you the full month name like January. If you want the short version, use "MMM" instead.
