Row level security

Hi,

I am new to Row Level Security (RLS). I have a Customer Group, Customer and DM who should have access to only a specific Customer data.

I have tried to depict the above scenario, something like -

Customer GroupCustomerDM
FF1A
FF2A
FF3B
FF1C
FF2C
FF3C
MC1C
MC2C
MC3C
MC4C
MC5C

DM 'A' should only have access to data related to Customer 1 & 2 of Customer Group FF.

DM 'B' should only have access to data related to Customer 3 of Customer Group FF.

DM 'C' should have access to all the Customers of both the Customer Groups FF and MC.

How can the RLS be implemented in such a scenario.

Thanks,

Vishy

Hi , @Anonymous

Please follow these steps:

1.define roles and rules within Power BI Desktop

Create roles ->select the table which you want to apply a DAX rule  -> Table filter DAX expression
DM_A :

([Customer Group] = "FF" && [Customer] = "1") ||([Customer Group] = "FF" && [Customer] = "2")

DM_B :

([Customer Group] = "FF" && [Customer] = "3")

DM_C :

[Customer Group] = "FF" || [Customer Group] = "MC"

2.Manage security on your model

add a members to the role by typing in the email address
