Row level security for a manager

I have a line graph that shows total number of tickets for a department. We would like to have the manager have access to filter it by person to see the individual ticket results, so I have a slicer ...

Hi mgusty33,

 

Since the manager should have access to all department data, while team members can only view their own data, you should apply Row Level security.

For the problem "I have tried using row level security, and hide the "Team Member" for the team memebers, but that hides all the rows that have a team member value.", you could calculate the total number of tickets via calculated column rather than measure.

Please see the difference between measure and column.

It is not that I want them to only be able to see their data, but I want them to be able to see the collection of the whole team but not be able to narrow it down to specific people. Only the manager would have the ability to narrow it down to specific people via the slicer.

    Hi mgusty33,

     

    Currently, it is not possible to disable the drill down action to specific users. I'm afraid your requirement cannot be achieved now.
