Row Level Security

Hello Community   -   Just a general question about RLS.  

I have a Power Bi Report that I will be publishing to a premium work space.    The "report" actually consists of about 12 tabs inside the report.    The RLS will be used to segment our salespeople to be able to see only what a particular individual, or team, needs to see.  

Is there a way to apply RLS to the overall report without setting it up for each invididual report (tab) in my file?

Hi @Anonymous,

In fact, RLS has applied filters on data model tables. (they are the source data of virtual tables of each report pages and visuals you designed) So if you enabled RLS on your dataset, if obviously will affect all the report pages. (notice: it only affects the current dataset. If you design multiple reports with similar Datasource and publish to the same workspace, it also only applies to the dataset you configured)

You can also take a look at GilbertQ's blog to know more about dynamic RLS based on logged users. (for this scenario, you only need to assign it to your group instead of configuring with each user)
