Hello,
I replaced a Sales data table. After replacing (loading, transforming, cleaning, formatting etc.) the Sales table seemed to work as well as the old Sales table.
However when I managed the relationship between the calendar/date table and the new Sales table all visuals return: (Blank).
I configured it the same as with the old table;
- same relationship
- same column structure and column format
Seems there is something wrong with the relationship but I can't figure out what it is.
with relationship returns blank
without relationship returns value
Some help is much appreciated.
Regards,
Marc
Hi @Anonymous ,
Try creating a new Calendar Table i,e CalendarTable1.
Create the relationship with CalendarTable1 and see if you are getting the results.

Thnx for your input!
I copied the calendar in Powerquery to calendar2.
It does return a value in the visuals now. I don't know what was wrong with the old calendar then.
However it still isn't possible to filter properly. When I try to filter an month/week or other, value returned remains sum/total of selected columns.
Hi @Anonymous ,
can you share your .pbix file.

Hi @harshnathani & @Pragati11
thanks for all your efforts in trying to help me.
I connected the PBIX with a sql db server and unfortunately I can not share these credentials with you.
I think it's best I just start from scratch again. Makes for good pratice I reckon.

Marc
Hi @Anonymous ,
I see in your screenshot that you have applied a FILTER for 2020.
Do you have data for 2020 in both if your tables?
Thanks,
Pragati
Hello Pragati,
Thnx for your reply.
In both tables/columns I do have 2020 dates.
Hi @Anonymous ,
The relationship between 2 tables is single directional. From which table are you using your DATE filter?
Thanks,
Pragati
Hi @Anonymous ,
On what column have you created the relationship? DATE column in both the tables?
Thanks,
Pragati
Hi @Anonymous ,
The format of Calendar-->Date and sale_order-->date_order columns is same right?
Share some screenshot on data format for these 2 columns.
Thanks,
Pragati
Please find attached the screenshots.
Thanks for your effort, your help is much appreciated 🙂
Hi @Anonymous ,
Now this is really hard to judge what is wrong.
Is it possible to share your power bi .pbix file?
Thanks,
Pragati
