Restrict data in power bi model from hive

Hi ,

Scenario :  I have a table which has 100 millions of records in my hive database. Out of it, i might need around 20 million. I dont want to pull the all 200 millions in to power bi model. I know filter out the records in the model is feasible solution but i dont want to bring the unwanted records in to my model.

Is there any way to restrict even before it get into my modelwhere i can pull only 20 million records in to model.

While creating the connection is it giving an option to write SQL. Then write SQL to get restricted data. Just add data like a new connection and check for options.

There is no such option to write sql as like sql database
