Hi all,
I have published one report on power bi service and select a filters on the dashboard.
I am trying to make a original report again by selecting Reset Button on the ribbon.
But seems it doesn’t work for me.
Is there any way to enable this reset button on the report.
Other report in workspace have reset button and they are working good.
Hi, I'm having almost the same problem, except that I get "In this report you are seeing the default view of the author" is there a way to reactivate this filter?
Hi @Anonymous ,
"Default" means "in the state as last uploaded/published by the developer". That impacts all filter choices and visual styles.
If the users only ever look at the report pages and never change any filters then the button will stay greyed out. If they make changes to filters or visuals then these changes are preserved throughout sessions, regardless of the data refreshes. To get back to "the way the developer intended it" the users can press the button.
For example, last time I edit my report and there is no filter in my report, so "Default" means the situation without any filter in my report.
So if I do some filter on it, reset button will be accessable.
If I add some filter in last edit in my report, the "Default" means the situation with the specific filter I do in my report.
So reset button will be grey out though there are some filters in slicer.
I think you can follow the video to create a reset button by bookmark function.
Best Regards,
Rico Zhou
