Reset Day slicer to first of every month

Hi Community ,

I have two slicer , month yr and day . both these are derived from calender table . month yr slicer will have values from jan-2024, feb-2024.... dec-2024. day slicer will have values for each day of the month. eg: if i select jan-2024, day slcier shows 1 to 31. if i select feb 2024, it shows 1 to 29. both month yr and day slicers are "single selection" ( i have to use single selection only). However if i select jan -2024 in month yr and 30 in day slicer but then go back to change the month yr slicer to feb 2024, the 30 in day slicer remains as it is. is there way to do a reset so that everytime i chnage the month , the day in day slicer is automatically selected to 1 ( menaing 1st of every month) . also note i have to use top down approach for date selection so i have disabled the interaction in "edit intercation" for day and month yr slicers. my filter works from month yr to day slicers.

steps done:

1. selected jan 2024 in month yr and day 31 in day slicer , went back to change the month yr slicer to feb . it shows 31 in day slicer.

looking for a way to reset the day slicer ( 1 should be selected in day slicer )to first of every month when month selection changes.

Hi @NMDGA 

You can use bookmarks as a workaround, you can use the bookmark to record the slicer option for the first day of each month, and then when you need to select the month, you just need to hold down "Ctrl" and click on the corresponding bookmark to select the first day of the corresponding month.

Is there any other workaround to dispaly a message or provide a button to get the results when we select the wrong combination of date and month yr . Like 30 feb and 31 feb . Or 31 march etc

@NMDGA , I doubt that is possible now. The selected value remains and we can not move it another value using some measure.
