Report Content Suddenly Deleted
Hi,
When working on a composite dataset - some sources from direct queries, some from sharepoint online lists the report design in the PBIX was suddenly deleted - I mean all tabs, all visualizations etc. The data design is still in the file.
Found this after publishing the report from desktop to service and seeing the published report showing up blank. We republished and still didn't see any content. After restarting PBI Desktop and reloading the report, the PBIX also displayed nothing - it looked like we had just started a new file. All tabs were missing along with all the work done on data visualization.
Anybody ever experience something like this? Is there a way to recover the PBIX? Thankfully we have some older versions that we can refer back to, but there's still a lot of rework as a result and hoping that we can avoid it!

Spengler never seen this in my 6 years of using Power BI. Not sure what happened there. By chance, do you have file on onedrive where you can retrieve older version? 🤷♀️

Thanks parry2k - Yes we've been able to go back to a OneDrive file and see early versions of the file, but as a result we lose most of the visualization work and some of the data analysis. I think we're starting again from the weird bank file, and rebuilding the tabs and visualizations.
