Replace reports in Power BI service - changing data sources

Hi,

I have one master datamodel which I upload to Power BI service and several reports build on that datamodel. I would like to move my datamodel to onedrive and hence I need to change the existing datasource of my reports to the copy of the model in onedrive. Is it possible somehow to do this and replace the current reports in Power BI service?

When I change the datasource of a report in desktop and reupload it's not replacing the current report but I get a new report with same name. This is a issue because there are many users who have subscriptions so I want to replace the report instead of making a new report so all the users keep their subscriptions. I can't subsribe the reports for them eiher because there are RLS involved.

Appreciate any input.

Hi @norway84 ,

In my test., after updating the data source of a report in desktop, publishing the modified .pbix file repalced the original one hosted in service.

In your scenario, how did you change the data source?
