Hi!
I want to rename(translate) data in some columns(many acually). Is "Add a conditional column" the way to go or are there any better/prefered ways to do it?
In some columns the "if" list will be quite long so I want to be sure I do it the correct way before I get to it 🙂

Hello @Johan-MTM and thank you for starting a conversation in the Desktop Forum.
Your suggestion would seem to work well based on your needs and can be achieved
efficiently as you describe, and that this is limited to five replacements.

Hi @foodd!
So if I have more then five different values in a column that I wish to rename the above sulution wont work?
It will work fine. Is your vision to have five or ten replacements, or are we speaking of one hundred replacements? It is all about scale. When it is just a few, this can be an economical option. Ask yourself, if this was Excel how would you handle it?
Yes, we are talking about just a few, maybe ten in 10-20 different columns - so I'll just get to it then 🙂
Thanks again!
