Rename Visual without enabling Title property

Hi,

In the selection pane, (View menu) we can see visuals names.

But you can't rename them from this pane. (see this post: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Selection-Pane-Rename-Items-How-To/td-p/382275 )

In order to do so, you must enable the visual's Title and the Title entered there will appear as the visual's name in the Selection Pane.

Anyone know if there's another way to rename the visuals without enabling the Title?

I figured this one out while writing my question...

All you have to do is enable the Title, set the Visual's Title to the name you want, then disable the Title.  The name you entered will appear as the visual's name in the Selection Pane.

Though, one question remains... what if multiple visuals have the same Title or if a Title is significant enough on the visual, but in the selection pane it's just confusing...

There should be a "control name" or an "object name" in there so developpers like me that like cryptique names like BOKEYX or BODTEN can enjoy naming those shiny little objects! 8-P

Maybe I'll submit it as an idea if it's not already there... 😉
