Remove a filter in URL

Hello. I am trying to create a URL to my PBI report which auto-filter values according to some parameter, and I am referring to below for guidance.

Filter a report using query string parameters in the URL - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

My issue is as follow:

1. I can create a URL that auto filter a column called "Title" as per intended (great)

2. But when I want to remove the filter to look at other titles, there's no way to remove it within the report itself since the filter is still applied in the URL.

3. Therefore I cannot view other Titles.

With the filter in URL, the Slicer visual now only show this Title, no way to reset the filter to show everything againWith the filter in URL, the Slicer visual now only show this Title, no way to reset the filter to show everything again

Is there a way for me to remove the "?filter=..." in the URL aside from asking all users to erase it manually in their URL bar? Or is there any other way to show back all the Titles in the slicer?

I found the solution. When the filter is applied to URL, Power BI actually applies the filter in the right filter pane (I didn't notice this earlier because I hid this pane). So you can just clear it here and it will show everything back.

@PowerBIEnthu ,

Making the clear all filter button did not work because the filter is applied on the URL itself. So as far as the report page is concern, it is already showing all available filters.

Add Clear All filter button or reset filter button.
you might want to disable persistent filter from options.

Hi @PowerBIEnthu,

Would you be able to explain a bit on how to do the first one, to create a reset filter button?

Also, how would disable persistent filter help in my situation?
