Remove Other Bars (Bar Chart)/Point (Scatter plot) When One Option Selected

Hi, I have a question and I'm not sure if it's possible.

Let's say I have a bar chart with 3 bars, if a user selects one of those bars for cross filtering, can the other bars completely disappear?

Similarly, in a scatterplot, if a user selects one of the points, can all the other points disappear so only that one single point remains?

I know if you select a bar/point, the other bars/points turn slightly opaque, but I would rather have those just disappear.

Does Power BI have this functionality?

Thanks

    In Power BI, there isn't a built-in feature to make other bars or points completely disappear upon selection in a visual. By default, Power BI applies a cross-filter that makes unselected bars or points partially transparent, as you mentioned.

    Workaround:

    You can create a DAX measure-

    SelectedData = IF(
    ISFILTERED(YourTable[Category]),
    IF(
    HASONEVALUE(YourTable[Category]),
    1,
    BLANK()
    ),
    1
    )

    Use this measure to conditionally filter your visual by placing it in the visual level filters pane and setting it to show only non-blank values.

    If this helped, a Kudos πŸ‘ or Solution mark would be great! πŸŽ‰
