My issue is that I need to connect to a non-public API to fetch data. We cannot whitelist all of PowerBI/Azure/MS ip-ranges so we have whitelisted the PowerBI Gateway IP. This means that when I reload the PowerBI report on the server it works but when I publish it to the web I cannot reload it anymore since connection request comes from PowerBI web.
Is there a way of sending request for this specific report/dataset thorugh the gateway and therefor come from a whitelisted IP?
Is there a way of scheduling reload on the on-prem server and publish the dataset by using e.g. powershell and/or a scheduled task?
Is there another way of getting around this issue?
Thanks!
@marlan84 , if you are able to refresh on your desktop, then you should be able to schedule a refresh using an on-premise gateway
