Relative Date Slicer How to Create it
This must be just something obvious, but how do I change a date slicer to relative date? The official Microsoft pages tell you to go to Slicer Settings/Options, but that menu configuration isn't on my version. Under Slicer Settings there are just the Single Select optinos, and under Layout there are just the Grid/Table options. My values are definitely date values. I'm graspoing at straws, but am I not seeing a relative date option becasue I'm not using a date table?
Hi Walt1010 , I am attaching a PBIX file with slicer set as relative check this and try to replicate and let me know if you face any issue
Hi Walt1010
by looking at your image it seems you have taken something else means not a default slicer.
beacuse default slicer does not have all these option ( Shape , layout, callout value, Image)
see default slicer have following options only in the setting.
Please check the slicer you are choosing that causing an issue.
I hope I answered you question!

Walt1010 , For relative date slicer option make sure you are using date column in slicer means formated as date datatype
Then
Click on the slicer to select it.
In the Visualizations pane, click on the dropdown arrow next to the slicer icon.
Select Relative Date from the dropdown menu.- Walt1010Helper V
Hi the field is definitely formatted as a date. As per my screenshot, my Slicer Settings looks different to yours:

Hi Walt1010
yes. You are right because you are not using date field/ date table that's why relative date and relative time option is not visible to you.
see i have used calendar date so i ca see the relative date option
where date is text format so only few options are visisble to me.like below
so try to format your date filed to DATE by using format option
select your date column then select data type to Date then set your desired date option like MMM-YYYY etc .
I hope I answered your question!
