Relationships

Hi

I have 2 tables, a "product master file", which contains all information about all products, and a "Forecast error table" which has calculated absolute error in Excel.  They are connected by a product key.

In the "forecast error table, the product key occurs 1 time, and same in the Product master file.

But the Power BI says the relationship is "many to one", which is wrong. My data wouldnt match with the product keys from the Product master table, until I changed the cross filter direction to "both" (is was set as "single" by Power BI).

My question is; why cant I channge the cardinality to 1 to 1?

Thnx

The cross filter direction can only set to ‘Both’ for one-to-one relationship.

Hi

Thats strange.

Because I have to choose "both" on cross filter direction, and power bi allows me only to choose many to one cardinality, even though every product number occurs 1 time in each table...

Any idea why?

What grapic(s) are you trying to create? One to Many should not be an issue for representing the data / using slicers...

I am creating a table. But when i use single it does not summarize pr row in the measure. The output is the total sum. After I change it to both, it starts giving sum pr row, and total sum at the bottom.
