Refresh from within PBI Desktop getting stuck on (Creating Connection in Model)

I have 1 single pbix file with connection type as IMPORT, It pulls in data from numerous sources for eg: (Dataflow, Sharepoint Folders, Excel Online) a total of 28 tables.

When I try to trigger a refresh (from within PBI Desktop), from the top ribbon (seee below snip)

It takes ages and the process do not move forward from (Creating Connection in Model) see below snip. I waited for more than 2 hours and yet it do not move forward, is there a way to overcome this.

I know one reason could be the3 file size which is currently 22,560KB (approx 23 MB) 

How can I overcome this refresh issue, refreshing 1 single at a time takes very long time (there are 28 tables in total ) with some measure tables separately

Hi  @smjzahid  ,

You can try the following:

Usually, it is caused by the vast amount of data. Please just import the tables that you need to calculate or you could turn off the option of "Include in report refresh" for the tables that you won't calculate. 

Or it is recommended to cancel the following options in Power bi Desktop, and then refresh your data model

@smjzahid , First of all, check which table is causing it.

Right-click on the table and refresh one by one.

Check if Power bi is using sufficient memory
