Refresh Web.Contents JSON only refresh rows but do not update new columns

I get data from a JSON query of the Slate Technolution database into Power BI using Web.

When I updated the query in Slate (adding new columns and adding filters to limit fewer rows) and refresh it in Power BI, it refreshes the rows (retrieved fewer rows), but the number of columns stays the same, did not add more.

Hi @mandynguyen ,

I think the problem is with the #"Expanded row1" (Table.ExpandRecordColumn) step. In this step we need to manually specify the columns that need to be expanded, which will result in the new columns in the data source not being selected.

You need to go to step #"Expanded row1" and select the new column (For example the cc field).

Or use the following code to expand the columns dynamically.

let
    Source = Table.FromRecords({
        [
            a = [aa = 1, bb = 2, cc = 3]
        ]
    }),
    #"Added Custom" = Table.AddColumn(Source, "Custom", each Record.FieldNames([a])),
    #"Expanded a" = Table.ExpandRecordColumn(Source, "a", List.Combine(#"Added Custom"[Custom]), List.Combine(#"Added Custom"[Custom]))
in
    #"Expanded a"
