Redshift Direct Query - almost nothing works!

Hello,

I have connected Power BI Desktop to Amazon Redshift in Direct Query mode. The following error appears when I write a simple Calculate formula, or even when I use a column as a Visual Level Filter!!!

Error Message:
OLE DB or ODBC error: [Expression.Error] We couldn't fold the expression to the data source. Please try a simpler expression..

It looks like a bug to me!

Anyone else having this issue? Any suggestion what to do?

Thank you

Sabedin

@sabedin,

Try the latest version of Power BI Desktop and create a support ticket if necessary.

I cannot create a support ticket, it takes me to login Window and when I login it sends me to my Power BI Service Account. Then from here when I go Help & Support >> Help, it sends me back to help page, BUT LOGGED OUT, and so everything start over. DEADLOCK.

Can you help me on this?

Thanks

Hi,

I have Power BI installed from Windows store, so definitely that is not the problem.

Will create a ticket though.

Thanks
