Real time reports in import mode

 

Hi,

 

Is it possible to set up Real Time reports/dashboards in Import mode? If yes can you please let me know how?

    Hi Amitabh,

     

    The visualizations will be refreshed once the new data is imported into Power BI. Then the question will be how fast we can refresh the dataset. Unfortunately, the frequency of refresh can't be too high due to the workload of servers and the network. 

     

    In some means, if we refresh the data every time we use it, the result would be Real Time. But it would be slow in the Power BI Service which is a network based cloud platform. 

     

    Maybe there is a workaround. I wonder if we can push the new data to a dataset in real time with Power BI REST API. Then we will get the Real Time report. If you have any questions about this, please post in the DEVELPOER FORMU for professional guidance.
