Read from SQL Server Reporting Service

Hi All,

Is there a way to connect to a SSRS through the desktop?  I see a lot of articles about publishing to a SSRS but nothing about aquiring data from one.

Hi @Jim_,

SSRS can get data source and create report, you want to get the data source or report in desktop? If you get data source(eg: SQL Server database and you have right to connect the dataset), you get data from SQL Server directly in Power Bi desktop and create any reports wanted. There is no option to connect to SSRS directly. You can create report using Power BI report server. Fore more details about Power BI report server, you can post yout thread to this forum.
