Hi, I need to implement RLS on my report.
The report contains data about different cities. Some users will be given access to one or more cities. Some will be given access to a state and can view all cities within that state. Lastly, some will be given access to the whole country and can view all cities.
How can I set up this? It must be dynamic and we must be able to give access (via. an excel sheet) as we go.
Thank you.
Create a mapping table with a cities, states, countries and users (email address) that have access to that particular subset. Alternatively, have three mapping tables.
Then wire these mapping tables into the geography table of your data model.
