Question, Is it possible to use PowerBI on intranet only ?

We are trying to use PowerBI for business purpose

but it seems we have to post data to cloud to use PowerBI ? 

 We would like to use Power BI for internal Data sharing only ,

because of our company policy, we can not use external could service.

 In this case, will it be possible to publish to our own server ? 

instead of posting on MS cloud ?

@myson000 From June onwards when SQL Server 2016 is out for GA you will have on-premise hosting availability for Power BI reports and dashboards.

Has Microsoft actually announced that Power BI on-premise will actually be available with SQL Server 2016 ?

All the talk is about SSRS but I have not seen confirmation that definitely confirms that this will be happening.

There is confusion here, the answer isn't "it will just be there in June"...

They have enabled Mobile reports/dashboards but we are not seeing Power BI dash board links in SSRS.

I think all of us want to see our Power BI dashboards visible in SSRS and I hope that is what we get.

Having our CEO log into power bi to see his dashboards is awkward and then connect to SSRS for his everything else?  I really REALLY need to point him to SSRS and be done.  If he can see his dashboards he will be happy.  Unless I one stop shop him and point him only to PowerBI, but he is plenty used to his SSRS portal.   This is not truly on premise power BI but I think MS knows we are all wanting it. 

I see this sentence as the indicator of what we all want. I wouldn't mind at LEAST a link to a power BI dashboard.

Just as we’ve added mobile report delivery to SSRS in SQL Server 2016, we intend to add governed Power BI Desktop report delivery in the future. Today Power BI Desktop supports publishing of reports to Power BI; Power BI Desktop is free to use, experience it yourself today.

One other note, I realize the "seamless" one stop shop to send the CEO to would be the "app" but this is not on prem. I intend on doing this though for the near term.
