Questing about data modelling

Hello

I think i got off to the wrong start on data modelling. I Have 3 seperate pbix files. One for finance, procurement and project management...

Now.. I found some new data, that is relevant to both Procurement and project management, which means, that i now need to update both pbix files with these new tables.. Which seems like a look of manual work in the long run..

So what's the right way of building a 'Master' data model that can make new reports and improve existing reports?

NB. I'm new to power-bi, so the answer might be obvious.
I've barely touched power bi online as well

So, there are lots of ways to do that. One, you could build the model out in SSAS or Azure Analysis Services. You could also build out the model in Power BI, publish it and then connect Live to it from other Power BI files.

DAX is easy, CALCULATE makes DAX hard...

Thank you for your response.

Do you have some good links or guide for the SSAS or Azure analysis Services?
Is it also possible to be done in MSSQL? I'm a bit more familiar with this program.

Correct me if i'm wrong. But the Power Bi options is to make your data model in powert bi desktop and then creating your reports in power bi online, where you link to the pbix file as data source?
