Hello,
When I used Power Query for Excel, the Query Editor had limitations like a maximum of 3,000 cells and a 1 million characters in a preview cell, were some of the limitations.
I've looked in the documentation for the Query Editor in Power BI Desktop, but could not find a list of limitations, so I'm wondering if any or all of the limitations that are in the Query Editor in Power Query for Excel have been removed in Power BI Desktop.
If it helps, I am using Power BI Desktop, the 32-bit version of the July 2016 update.
Any help in finding out the limitations or differences between the 2 versions of the Query Editor would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Tracy
@elz The 3000 cell limitation in the Query Editor Preview had been removed, the 1 million character per cell limitation is still enforced.
Hi pqian,
Thank you for your reply.
Do you know if there is a list of the limitations or differences between power query and power bi desktop query editor?
