Pulling data from 2 tables into one based on earliest date

I have 2 tables and I would like to pull the electrical safety check date from one table into the other based on the date of completed job. So the electrical safetfy check date would be the ealiest one after the date of completed job. 

Can any one please help?

Job	Date of completed job	Electrical safety check date				Electical safety check dates
1	1/4/2012	1/5/2012				a	1/1/2012
2	1/1/2012	1/2/2012				b	1/2/2012
3						c	1/3/2012
4						d	1/4/2012
5						e	1/5/2012
