Publishing Issues
I have zero experience building reports. I somehow clicked enough buttons to build out a report for my team using data imported from separate PowerBI workbook, and everything looks great. I published it yesterday, and shared it around. I made a few changes in powerBI desktop today, and published it again, but the changes arent updating in the online version. Also, the data is refreshing online, but the date slicers are not updating. It still shows the most recent dates as 9/26, which is when i created the report initially. (its 9/28) Any help is greatly appreciated, but please dumb down your answer because I don't know what any of this is.

Hi Anonymous ,
I want to confirm the following things with you:
Did you make changes to the data or make changes to the report in the Desktop?
Did you replace the orianal .pbix file when you published from Desktop to Service?
Thanks for your efforts & time in advance.
Best regards,
Yadong Fang

So, the publishing issue was resolved because I rennamed the project in desktop, and thought it would just change the name, not create a new report. So the report with all of the data updates is good to go online now, but the only issue I'm still having is the dates. It still shows 9/26. The dates wont update to the current date in the desktop version either, even if i remove the filter and redo it completely. So, the data is all refreshing and updating, I just cant move any date slicer to the current date.
