Hi,
Me and my colleage is trying to colaborate to with the reports that we have in our workspace using PBI Desktop.
I am the one created the PBIX file and uploaded it in sharepoint and have no problem publishing the report.
However, when I asked my colleage to update and publish the report. She is getting an error saying
"Sorry, you do not have access to publish to this workspace. Please contact the owner for access."
I am the one created the workspace and change her access from "Member" to "Admin" but it does still give us the same error.
I tried check all of her access from sharepoint down to specific file permission and all of them are set as "Admin"
In PBI Desktop, we made sure that she has the correct credentials logged in.
We might be missing something here.
Any advice/ assistance will be very much appreciated.
TIA
Hi @MJ153614 ,
If all permissions are set correctly, I'd like to suggest you to upgrade both Power BI Desktop and Gateway to the latest version then re-publish the dataset.
Best Regards,
Jay
You will probably have to get with your domain admins to get permission as a PowerBI admin or they would have to add her.
In the PowerBI service, under manage gateways you might have to grant her permissions to publish reports using the data source.
On the dataset, click on the '...' and go to 'Manage users'
This will bring up the list of users that have permission to publish reports using this data source.
I am able to see it but it does not allow me to add a User.
Yes she have a pro license.
